NHC Health Centres offer a drive-thru Covid-19 testing service.
In the interest of assisting South Africa with efficient testing for Covid-19, NHC Health Centres now offer their regular patients and the community at large a Covid-19 drive-thru testing facility. This is now available at the NHC Health Centres in Bryanston, Northcliff, Honeydew and Centurion.
If you meet the criteria for testing and have a valid referral form from a Medical Professional for a Covid-19 test, you should drive to your nearest NHC Health Centre and follow the directional signage to the basement.
Should you require a test and do not have a valid referral form, please visit your personal family medical professional for referal or alternatively contact your nearest NHC Health Centre and arrange an appointment through our reception or our online booking services on www.nhcltd.com
Park in a clearly marked testing bay, where an Ampath Laboratory staff member will advise you on the process. Please remain in your vehicle at all times, unless instructed to do otherwise. You will undertake the test in your car, after which you must proceed directly home.
The cost of the test is R850 payable by card at the drive-thru.
Please self-quarantine at home until your Family Practitioner calls you with the result and advises you on your next steps.
In addition to the drive-thru, NHC medical professionals have further expanded their services to include tele-health for most of the disciplines, as well as a script request service to assist patients who cannot travel to the Health Centres. Of course, all of these services continue to be provided under the strict ethical guidelines provided, as well as within our strictly controlled and hygienically managed Health Centres.
We at NHC thank you for staying home and keeping safe as part of the national effort to slow the spread of the virus. We also thank our incredible team and suppliers for assembling the testing station under very difficult conditions.
May you, your family and loved ones, and our communities live well and stay well during this time, as we work towards once again being great. Visit www.nhcltd.com for more information.
