Welcome to Mveledzo Day Hospital, where we prioritize your health and well-being above all else. Our state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to providing high-quality medical care in a safe, comfortable, and caring environment.
As an established family practitioner at the Thohoyandou NHC Health Centre, which opened in 2021, Dr. Tshivhase approached the holding company of the NHC Health Centres, Nimpa Ltd, with the vision of a private hospital in Thohoyandou. This led to discussions between the CEO of Nimpa Ltd, Mr. Hermann Kohloffel, and Dr. Tshivhase. This collaboration has resulted in the establishment of Mveledzo Day Hospital, which opened in early 2024. Built on the premises of the Thohoyandou NHC Health Centre, the hospital has 3 theatres and 27 beds offering same-day surgery, attracting renowned surgeons and specialists from the Northern Limpopo area.
Same-day surgery is not only a cost-effective alternative but is less emotionally distressing, particularly for children. The nursing staff pride themselves on reassuring anxious patients about to undergo the nerve-racking experience of surgery and then assisting them through the recovery process. Included in the three theatres is a laminar flow theatre, which is supplemented by 1, 2, and 4-bed luxury wards. The Mveledzo Day Hospital is conveniently situated on the same premises as the NHC Health Centre, next to Thavhani Mall and in close proximity to the CBD. With ample parking, one can enter and leave the premises with ease. Mveledzo Day Hospital is a member of the Day Hospital Association of Southern Africa and the National Hospital Network.
Mveledzo Day Hospital is committed to care excellence, championing patient-centred services, and ensuring collaboration among healthcare professionals resulting in elevated healthcare outcomes.
As a multipurpose, one-size-fits-all facility, Mveledzo Day Hospital offers a comprehensive range of medical services that include outpatient procedures, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, and specialist consultations.
